How to add an event
Anyone can add an event. It is free, you do not need an account, and a local volunteer checks it before it goes up (usually within a day).
Start
- Press Add, the orange button at the top of any page (on a computer or a phone).

- Choose An event.

You can also start from the menu. On a phone, tap Menu at the bottom of the screen (it turns into Close while the menu is open), then choose An event under Add. On a computer, press the three dots at the top right to open the same menu.

Step 1 - Describe
- Paste your flyer text or Facebook post into the box, or just type a few lines. We fill in the title, dates, venue and details for you, and you can fix anything we get wrong.
- Or upload your flyer with the one button under Or upload your flyer: take a photo of the poster there and then (on a phone), or choose a photo, screenshot or PDF (JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF, up to 8 MB). We read it to fill in the form and do not keep it.
- Press Read it for me.
Prefer to type it all? Press Skip - I'll type it in myself.

Step 2 - What
Check the Name of the event, Where in town, Address and Details. Choose Who is it for? and tick as many Categories as fit: they decide who hears about it. A photo is optional, and a link (tickets, Facebook event) helps. Every link is checked before it goes live.

Step 3 - When
Add the date and start time. See Create a recurring event for repeats and extra dates.
Step 4 - You
Your name, email and phone. These are not shown publicly: they are so we can send you a link to change the event, and reach you if something needs checking. Separate public phone and email boxes are optional.
Step 5 - Check, then send
You see how the event will look. Complete the "I'm not a robot" check if it appears, then press Send it in.

What happens next
- You get an email with a private link to change the details or cancel your event. No password needed.
- If something is missing, the approvers say so and you can fix it and send it back.
- If the date or time changes, people who saved the event or set a reminder are told.
Changing it later
Use the link in your email. Changing the date or time is instant. Changes to other details, such as the title, description, venue, links or organiser, are checked by the local approvers before they show. Until then your event stays up exactly as it was.
